Laundry Soap

My sister in law made us some homemade laundry soap for Christmas and I immediately loved it!! It didn't bother my sensitive skin, or leave any residue like I feel liquid detergents sometimes do. I asked her for the recipe and she sent me this picture below!
In all I spent $21 and some change. I even got generic OxyClean from the Dollar Tree. I'm so happy with how it turned out. It's already May and I have used maybe 1/8 of the total batch. At this rate my one batch should last me close to two years!! Of course we don't have kiddos yet so we don't do as much laundry as some of you out there. Still, you can't beat the quality and the price!

Hot Digity Dog! Leash holder

This was a Christmas gift I made for my sister-in-law and her puppies! I got the wooden board at Michaels craft store for $2 and the metal hook at HobbyLobby for around $8. I splurged on the hook because it was so pretty and I wanted to give it an antique patina look. I used turquoise and gold paint and gave the board a white wash effect. I also added a metal hanging hook to the back since dog leashes can be heavy I wanted to make it sturdy enough. The whole project took about an hour and a half with letting the paint dry.
